I am still baffled at the fact that this government is still entertaining the possibility of colluding with both the Catholic and Anglican Churches call, for Lesbian, Gay and Bi-sexual men and women, to be refused adoption rights.
There is clear legislation in place, criminalising discriminatory behaviour of this nature, so why should Cormac Murphy-O'Connor and Rowan Williams be excluded?
I condemn all political and religious groups who seek to curtail our civil liberties and rights as valid members of the wider community to take a full role within our society.
We need to learn that as much as we may not agree with each others principles, we all have a right to air our views, so long as they don't seek to impinge on any given group or individual's rights. I might not agree with what an individual or group might have to say, but, on the whole, I would stand up for their right to say it (there are a few exceptions to this i.e. far right and extremist groups who advocate violence and loss of life).
